October is Liver Cancer Awareness Month, which is a chance to raise vital awareness and funds to improve early detection of the disease as well as to show support for people affected by liver cancer and to remember loved ones.
Your support in October could help us to get closer to a breakthrough in calling for early diagnosis and put a much-needed spotlight on the disease.
Find out more about how you can get involved below, from hosting a coffee morning, to lighting up a local landmark! We also have a suite of resources that can be downloaded or ordered. We also have resources for healthcare professionals, which can be accessed here.
Light up for liver
This year we are asking people to write to local councils and businesses to ask them to Light up for Liver – illuminating a local landmark in green during October.
Raise awareness
Download and print, or order posters to raise awareness in your community. Why not see if they can be put up at your GP surgery, workplace notice boards, at the library, or in local shop windows?
Perk up your liver with a coffee morning
Did you know that moderate coffee drinking could actually reduce the chances of developing preventable liver damage? Coffee mornings are the perfect ways to raise funds!
Not really a coffee drinker? Click here for other ways to fundraise!
